[참좋은뉴스= 김태형 기자] 주한외국기업연합회 KOFA (상임대표, 김종철)은 17일 여의도에 위치한 오토폼엔지니어링코리아에서 제2회 서울지방국세청장 초청 세정간담회를 개최 했다고 밝혔다.

 

이날 행사는 KOFA 소속 산업통상자원부 소관 사단법인 주한글로벌기업대표이사협회 [KOFA GCEO]가 주관했고 ▲오토폼엔지니어링코리아(대표 조영빈, KOFA회장), ▲인피니언테크널러지코리아(대표 이승수 , KOFA전임회장), ▲지멘스코리아 (대표 정하중), ▲오스람코리아(대표 강석원), ▲아레이몬드코리아(대표 김종세), ▲헥사곤코리아( 대표 브라이언성), ▲호프만에이전시코리아 (대표 권기정), ▲바코코리아(대표 손창근), ▲한국이브이그룹(대표 윤영식)등 한국에 진출한 외국계기업 대표이사들 18명이 참여했다.

 

김재웅 서울국세청장은 간담회에서 외국계 투자기업에 대한 세정지원 방안을 안내하고 현장의 애로 사항을 청취했다.

 

서울국세청은 최근 시행한 ▲'투자 확대' 외국계 기업에 대한 정기세무조사 유예(최대 2년) ▲내년에 시행하는 글로벌 최저한세 ▲해외금융계좌 신고시 유의사항 등 국제조세 분야에서 외국계 기업에 도움이 되는 정보를 제공했다.

 

외국계 기업들은 국내에서 겪는 세무상 어려움에 대해서도 다양한 의견을 개진했다. 특히 현재 업무 체계가 국제조세 분야와 내국법인 분야로 구분돼 있어 외국계 기업의 경우 어디에 문의를 해야 할지 어려움이 있다고 토로했다.

 

 

 

이에 김 청장은 "외국계 기업이 한국에 투자를 확대하고 경영 활동에만 전념할 수 있도록 모든 세정 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"고 약속했다.

 

조영빈 회장은 "직접 현장에 찾아와 기업의 고충을 경청하고 해소해 준 것에 대해 감사하다"고 언급했다.

 

서울국세청은 "앞으로도 외국계 기업이 사업에만 전념할 수 있도록 애로 사항을 경청하고 맞춤형 세정 지원을 적극 실시할 계획"이라고 전했다.

 

 

 

이날 행사에서 KOFA 회장 조영빈 대표 (오토폼엔지니어링코리아 대이사) 와 전임회장 이승수 대표 (인피니언테크널러지코리아)가 서울국세청장으로부터 세정협조자 표창을 수여받았다.

 

 

 

한편 주한외국기업연합회 KOFA는 한국에 진출한 외국인투자기업의 대표이사들로 구성된 산업통상자원부 소관 (사)주한글로벌기업대표이사협회 GCEO와 주한외국인투자기업의 인사담당 임원 및 실무팀장들로 구성된 고용노동부 소관 (사)주한외국기업인사관리자협회 와 서울특별시 소관 (사)주한외국기업상공연합회를 운영하고 있으며 주한외국상공회의소들과 긴밀한 협력관계를 하고있다.

 

현재 약 600여개 회원사 네트워크를 보유하고 있고 산업통상자원부 및 고용노동부 와 서울시, 경기도 등의 지자체 정부조직과 긴밀한 소통 창구의 역할을 하며 17,000 여개 주한외국인투자기업의 경영정보제공과 각종 실태조사 및 연구.조사 등을 통하여 외국인투자기업의 경영자들과 정부의 가교 역할을 하는 기관이다.

 

또한 KOFA는 매년 서울시 소재 대학 및 전국 권역별 대학들과 연대하여 청년고용촉진을 위하여 대학별 캠퍼스 리쿠르팅 , 외국인투자기업 , 글로벌기업 취업박람회등을 공동주관 해오고 있고 매년 주한외국기업 및 글로벌기업들의 인사담당들이 직접 참여하는 급여 서베이 및 복리후생 실태조사를 담고 있으며 17,000여 주한외국기업들의 상세한 정보를 매년 업데이트 하고 그외 각종 인사.노무 ,세무,마케팅등의 고급경영자료들을 한국지사장들 과 인사당담 임원들에게 제공 하고 있다.

Korea Foreign Enterprises Association (KOFA) Hosts the 2nd Tax Policy Roundtable with the Commissioner of the Seoul Regional Tax Office

 

— Seoul Tax Office Pledges Full Tax Support to Help Foreign Companies Expand Investment in Korea and Focus on Business Operations

 

The Korea Foreign Enterprises Association (KOFA), led by Executive Chairman Jongchul Kim, announced that it held the 2nd Tax Policy Roundtable with the Commissioner of the Seoul Regional Tax Office on the 17th at AutoForm Engineering Korea, located in Yeouido, Seoul.

 

The event was organized by the Korea Global CEOs Association (KOFA GCEO), an affiliated organization of KOFA under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Eighteen CEOs of foreign-invested companies operating in Korea participated, including AutoForm Engineering Korea (CEO Youngbin Cho, KOFA Chairman), Infineon Technologies Korea (CEO Seungsoo Lee, former KOFA Chairman), Siemens Korea (CEO Hajung Jung), OSRAM Korea (CEO Seokwon Kang), ARaymond Korea (CEO Jongse Kim), Hexagon Korea (CEO Brian Sung), Hoffmann Agency Korea (CEO Kijung Kwon), Barco Korea (CEO Changgeun Son), and Korea EV Group (CEO Youngsik Yoon).

 

During the roundtable, Commissioner Jaewoong Kim of the Seoul Regional Tax Office outlined tax administration support measures for foreign-invested companies and listened to challenges faced by companies in the field.

 

The Seoul Regional Tax Office provided useful information in the area of international taxation, including:

▲ deferral of regular tax audits (for up to two years) for foreign-invested companies that have recently expanded investment,

▲ the implementation of the Global Minimum Tax scheduled for next year, and

▲ key points to note when reporting overseas financial accounts.

Participating foreign-invested companies also shared various opinions regarding tax-related difficulties encountered in Korea. In particular, they noted that the current administrative system is divided between international taxation and domestic corporate taxation, which often makes it unclear for foreign-invested companies where to direct their inquiries.

 

In response, Commissioner Kim stated, “We will spare no effort in providing full tax administration support so that foreign-invested companies can expand their investments in Korea and focus solely on their business operations.”

Chairman Youngbin Cho expressed his appreciation, saying, “We are grateful that you visited the site in person, listened carefully to the challenges faced by companies, and helped address them.”

 

The Seoul Regional Tax Office added, “We will continue to actively listen to the concerns of foreign-invested companies and provide customized tax administration support so that they can concentrate fully on their business activities.”

 

At the event, KOFA Chairman Youngbin Cho, CEO of AutoForm Engineering Korea, and former KOFA Chairman Seungsoo Lee, CEO of Infineon Technologies Korea, were presented with Certificates of Commendation for Tax Administration Cooperation by the Commissioner of the Seoul Regional Tax Office.

 

Meanwhile, KOFA operates three associations composed of foreign-invested companies in Korea:

• KOFA GCEO – an association of CEOs of foreign-invested companies (MOTIE jurisdiction)

• KOFA HR – an association of HR executives and HR team leaders of foreign-invested firms (MOEL jurisdiction)

• KOFA Chamber of Foreign Enterprises – under the Seoul Metropolitan Government

KOFA also maintains strong cooperative relationships with foreign chambers of commerce in Korea.

 

KOFA currently oversees a network of approximately 600 member companies and serves as a key communication channel with government organizations such as the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and Gyeonggi Province. Through management information services, surveys, and policy research related to more than 17,000 foreign-invested companies in Korea, KOFA functions as a bridge between foreign-invested company leaders and the Korean government.

 

In addition, KOFA collaborates annually with universities in Seoul and regional institutions nationwide to promote youth employment by co-hosting campus recruiting programs and job fairs for foreign-invested and global companies. KOFA also conducts annual salary and benefits surveys with the direct participation of HR executives from foreign-invested firms, updates detailed profiles of 17,000 foreign companies in Korea each year, and provides high-value management resources—including HR, labor, tax, and marketing insights—to country managers and HR leaders.
